SPEECH & DRAMA
Speech & Drama is a programme for students to enhance their skills oratorically and gaining their confidence which will help in their oral examinations.
OBJECTIVE
By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to speak confidently in front of a big crowd.
Activites includes:

Introduction to drama, acting, vocal, control of emotion

Casting, script reading, drama briefing
-
Directing of drama, improvise
-
Learning of simple dance step following the music tempo
-
Performance by students with animal character costumes
-
Scripts will be given
Duration: 1hr-2hr per session (6-8 sessions in total)
Venue: AVA/Music/Classroom
DJ RADIO / HOST / SPEECH
DJ Radio/Host is a programme for students to enhance their skills oratorically and gaining their confidence which will help in their oral examinations.
OBJECTIVE
By the end of the lesson, students are able to put in good use of the skills that has been learnt for their examinations as well as talking to a big crowd.
Activites includes:

Introduction and explanation about DJ/Host/Speech

Importance of gaining information before presenting

Learning of the techniques and skills of conversing well
-
Students will be divided into pairs/groups to practice among themselves.

Students will be able to learn the different techniques and to put in beneficial use for oral examinations.

Notes will be given

Presentation from students in front of the class

POETRY WRITING
Poetry (Puisi) Writing Workshop is a programme for students to transform their imagination and expression into writing poems.
OBJECTIVE
By the end of the lesson, students are able to put in good use of the skills that has been learnt to craft out their own creative poetry.
Activites includes:

Introduction and explanation of proper ways of writing a good poetry

Learn to use the correct techniques/skills

Notes will be given
Duration: 1.5-2 hours per session
Venue: Classroom
CREATIVE WRITING
Creative Writing Workshop is a programme for students to enhance their skills in writing good essays by learning the proper techniques.
OBJECTIVE
By the end of the lesson, students are able to put in good use of the skills that has been learnt for their writing examination.
Activites includes:

Introduction and explanation of proper ways of writing a good essay

Learn to use the correct techniques/skills for various parts of essay

Notes will be given

For several sessions of this workshop, students are required to do an essay on the last session.
Duration: 1.5-2 hours per session (4 sessions in total)
Venue: Classroom
JOURNALISM
Journalism is a programme for students to enhance their skills in writing good reports or improvise their oratorical skills.
OBJECTIVE
By the end of the lesson, students are able to put in good use of the skills that has been learnt for their essay writing examinations.
Activites includes:

Introduction and explanation about Journalism

Focus on writing/oratorical skills (either one)

Learning the proper techniques of writing a report/delivering a speech

Notes will be given
*Optional: We are able to incorporate a site visit to either one of the locations for their practical session: Kampong Glam/Sungai Singapura.
Duration: 1.5-2 hours per session (4 sessions in total)

COMIC DRAWING
Comic Drawing is a programme for students to master the skill of drawing creatively through comics.
OBJECTIVE
By the end of the lesson, students are able to put in good use of the skills that has been learnt for their essay writing examinations.
Activites includes:

Fundamentals of Comic Drawing

Learn basic cartooning techniques
